Mr. Bruno, a senior litigation attorney, joined the firm in 1973 shortly after it was founded. Mr. Bruno has served as firm president, a member of the firm's management committee and is currently a member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Bruno's practice emphasizes complex civil litigation, primarily in the areas of insurance defense, insurance coverage, insurance bad faith, employment law, directors and officers liability, construction litigation, personal injury, professional liability defense and products liability.

Mr. Bruno is one of the few Arizona lawyers elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates and has served on the Board of Directors of the Arizona Association of Defense Counsel. He is certified by the State Bar of Arizona as a Specialist in Injury and Wrongful Death Litigation. He has received Martindale-Hubbell's highest A-V rating and has been selected as a Southwest "Super Lawyer." Mr. Bruno is also a member of the Council on Litigation Management (CLM) whose mission is to further the practice of Litigation Management through ethics, cooperation, and education.

Mr. Bruno's diverse practice has included the representation of a steel company in the defense of a product liability claim involving an allegedly defective product that threatened the integrity of the $4 billion Central Arizona Project Canal; representation of the Arizona Board of Regents in a federal district court trial involving allegations of gender discrimination in the tenure program at the University of Arizona; and the successful representation of a manufacturer of an item of semi conductor processing equipment that exploded and contaminated a fabrication facility. Mr. Bruno also successfully defended a major distributor of electronic parts in a classic U.C.C. 2-207 "battle of the forms" resulting in the seminal Arizona appellate decision on commercial indemnity claims, Schweber Elec. v. National Semiconductor Corp., 174 Ariz. 406, 410, 850 P.2d 119, 123 (App.1992). Mr. Bruno has testified as an expert witness in a London arbitration concerning a $50 million coverage dispute arising out of a directors and officers policy.
